How your follow-up starts

At the first visit the medical team goes over your history, the medicines you already take and the conditions that run in your family. We check blood pressure, weight and waist size, and order the lab tests you need: fasting glucose, hemoglobin A1C, a lipid panel and, depending on the case, kidney and liver function.

What we track at each visit

• Your A1C, which reflects your average blood sugar over recent months
• Blood pressure readings, including the ones you log at home
• LDL, HDL and triglycerides
• How you tolerate your medicines and any side effects
• Feet, weight and early signs of kidney or eye damage

Adjustments without lectures

A treatment only works if it fits your life. If you work long shifts, if home cooking is traditional or if taking several pills a day is hard, we talk about it openly and look for the option you can actually keep up. At the end of the visit we send an e-prescription to the pharmacy you choose, so you can pick it up when it suits you.

Why waiting costs you

Left unchecked, these conditions slowly harm the heart, kidneys, eyes and the nerves in your feet. Catching a change early lets us correct the dose before a complication appears. If you also notice palpitations or shortness of breath, we can add an electrocardiogram to the checkup.
